The five (5) foot deep
samples will be placed on hold pending receipt of the analytical results of the other samples in each
boring.
3. TRUCK/TRAILER WASH BAY OIL/WATER SEPARATORS/CLARIFIERS/TRENCH
DRAINS
The investigation within the truck/trailer wash bay/oil water separators/clarifier trench drain will include the
trench drain, subsurface clarifiers located within the truck wash bay and an oil/water separator located outside
of the truck wash bay to the east. The scope of work for the investigation includes the following:
• Seven(7)soil borings will be completed in the truck/trailer wash bay area as follows:
o Two(2)soil borings will be completed to a depth of five(5)feet bgs near the trench drains.
Soil samples will be collected at depths of two(2)and five(5)feet bgs.
o Two(2)soil borings will be completed to a depth of 10 feet bgs,one(1)adjacent to each of
the two(2)interior subsurface clarifiers in the truck bay area. Soil samples will be collected
at depths of five (5)and 10 feet bgs.
o Two(2)soil borings will be completed to a depth of 10 feet bgs as close as practical to the
outside oil/water separator. Soil samples will be collected at depths of five(5)and 10 feet
bgs. One(1)of the soil borings will be deepened to a depth of approximately 20 to 30 feet
bgs and a grab groundwater sample will be collected and analyzed for TPH-cc,VOCs,CAM
17 metals, and PCBs. Depending on the results of field screening, a soil sample may be
collected from the capillary fringe and analyzed for TPH-cc, VOCs, CAM 17 metals, and
PCBs.
o One (1) soil vapor boring will be completed to a depth of 5.5 feet bgs near the outside
oil/water separator. One (1)soil vapor sample will be collected and analyzed for VOCs.
• The two(2)foot samples in the five(5) foot deep borings and 10 foot samples in the 10 foot deep
borings will be analyzed for TPH-cc, VOCs, CAM 17 metals, and PCBs.
