' CHRONOLOGY OF CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> Former Valley Volkswagen <br /> 647 E.Miner Ave. <br /> Stockton,CA <br /> 1 <br /> August 18, 1986: Integrity Tank Testing Systems, Inc. of Stockton, California <br /> ' conducted tightness testing of the 750 gallon (gal.), and 1000 gal. <br /> UST's located at the subject site. Both tanks were within the <br /> NFPA 329 Guidelines of a maximum loss of.05 gallons per hour <br /> ' for a tight tank/system. <br /> July 29, 1987: Walker Hydraulics of Pleasant Hill, California removed one 750- <br /> ' gallon UST and one 1000-gallon UST. Soil samples were collected at <br /> 12 ft and 14 ft below grade and indicated elevated levels of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons. <br /> ' <br /> September 1, 1987• Canonie Environmental of Stockton California collected additional <br /> . <br /> soil samples from the former UST pit at approximately 16.5-ft below <br /> ' grade. Results indicated elevated levels of TPH and total xylenes <br /> September 25, 1987: Kleinfelder of Sacramento, California collected twelve soil samples <br /> from the stockpiled soil removed during the tank removal. Analytical <br /> results ranged from non detect to 1,900 ppm for petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons. <br /> October 1987: Mr. Jay Friedman of Valley Volkswagen and Mr. Ray Walker of <br /> Walker Hydraulics backfilled the UST pit with the stockpiled soil. <br /> 1 <br /> May 1995: Spectrum of Stockton, California advanced three soil borings (SB1, <br /> ' SB2, and SB3) to 46 feet below grade, and installed monitoring well <br /> (MWI) to a depth of 62.5 feet. Soil analytical results of boring MW1 <br /> indicated elevated levels of TPHg, ethylbenzene, xylenes and Oil and <br /> ' Grease. Borings S131, SB2, and S133 had non-detectable <br /> concentrations of TPHg, BTEX and Oil and Grease. Low to <br /> moderate levels of TPHg and TEX were reported in the initial <br /> ' groundwater sample collected from well MWL Benzene was not <br /> detected. <br /> ' July 26, 1996: Ground Zero conducted groundwater sampling. Well MW1 was <br /> monitored and samples analyzed for TPHg, BTEX and MTBE. <br /> Depth to water was 40.03 feet below grade in well MW 1. <br /> ' Groundwater rose 5.8 feet, covering the top of the well screen. <br /> Analysis indicated minor groundwater impact from MTBE. TPHg <br /> and BTEX were not detected. <br />
