� ' I . 31 August 1995 ' AGE-NC Project No 95-0151 Page 3 of 4 ' composited at a 2-to-I ratio for analysis Each composrted sample was analyzed for TPH-g and BTE&X Low concentrations of TPH-g and BTE&X were detected in two composrted samples Analytical results are included in Table 2 The laboratory report and chain-of-custody are included ' in Appendix C On 5 June 1995, representatives of AGE collected four additional samples from the stockpiled soil Once again, the samples were transported to MAI and composrted for analysis TPH-g and xylenes were detected in one composite sample at concentrations of 3 0 and 0 015 ppm, respectively The ' laboratory report and chain-of-custody is included in Appendix C ' 34 WELL SURVEY In accordance with Tn-Regional Board Appendix B guidelines for the closure of UST site, AGE performed a survey of wells within 2,000 feet of the site Neither the California Water Service (CWS) nor the City of Stockton maintains wells near the site The nearest well, maintained by CWS, is located at the corner of Sonora Avenue and Laurel Street, approximately one mile southwest of the subject site ' 4 0. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS ' 41 FORMER UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK AREA The analytical results of soil samples collected from the excavation on 11 August 1994 do not ' indicated the presence of hydrocarbon-impacted soils in the area of the former USTs We recommend a site closure for the property 42 STOCKPILED SOIL ' The most recent sampling of the impacted stockpiled soil indicates that very low concentrations of TPH-g and xylenes are present in the southern portion of the stockpile However, the stockpile has ' been aerating since the sampling was performed in June 1995 It is unlikely that any hydrocarbons remain in the stockpiled soil We recommend that the soil be distributed throughout the property I ' i i i
