FIELD PROCEDURES
All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California
Registered Geologist Procedures for the water elevation point installation and dedicated low-flow
pump installation and test procedures are detailed below
3 1 PILOT SOIL PROBE BORING
Three soil pilot probe borings will be established at the site to a maximum depth of 30 feet bsg using
a van-mounted Geoprobe 5400 direct-push probing unit equipped with a 2-inch diameter pre-probe
and 1 25-inch probing rods The Geoprobe advances soil probe borings using a hydraulic hammer
to drive soil sampling tools to specified depths
The probe boring will be completed as three temporary ground water depth/elevation monitoring
• points utilizing one-inch diameter schedule 40 polyvinylchloride (PVC)0 01-inch slotted well screen
and blank well casing A 20-foot length of well screen is anticipated for installation of the point
from 10 feet to 30 feet bsg
