Page 3
proceed with the subsurface investigation required by San Joaquin County and the
California Regional Water Quality Control Board.
The initial phase of investigation will include delineation of the extent of soil
and groundwater contamination. Once delineated, the responsible parties can define
k and implement appropriate measures to Mitigate contamination. A minimum of
three additional monitoring wells will be required to evaluate the groundwater flow
direction and the limits of contamination. It is also likely that it will be necessary to
{ drill borings or install wells on adjoining rb rties or in the City Ci of
l g P Pe Stockton right-of-
way.
State guidelines require that a "Preliminary Assessment Report"be prepared
which should include:
Name and address of site, tank owner, and contact person.
• A map showing the site relative to nearby landmarks(see Site Location Map,
Plate 1).
• A site map (Generalized Site Plan,Plate 2) showing the tanks,piping systems,
adjacent streets and buildings, septic tanks and leach fields, and underground
utilities.
Results of tank tests or initial site work completed.
• Estimates-of liquid leaked into.the environment!
• History of site use.
• Local topography,geology,nearby streams,depth to groundwater.
• Proximity of private or municipal wells and irrigation wells within 2,000 feet
• Location of nearby septic tanks and underground public utility lines.
• Distance to adjacent buildings and their water and sewer lines.
Proposed sampling methodology.
1
R0cEk
