Closure Report <br /> Golden Grain Manteca Bean Facility,299 Moffat Boulevard,Manteca,California July 16,1996 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> ' Fluor Daniel GTI, Inc (Fluor Daniel GTI), on behalf of Golden Grain Company (Golden Grain), a <br /> subsidiary of The Quaker Oats Company, has prepared this Closure Report for the former Manteca <br /> Bean Facility at 299 Moffat Boulevard in Manteca, California (figure 1) This report documents the <br /> site history, assessment, and remediation work performed at the site, as well as the current site <br /> conditions, for the purpose of requesting site closure with no further action The objectives of this <br /> ' report are listed below <br /> 1) Summarize the work performed at the site and the current site conditions in accordance <br /> ' with the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) Region V memorandum <br /> regarding Underground Tank "No Further Action Requirements in the Central Valley <br /> Region" (appendix A) <br /> 2) Meet the specifications presented in the Checklist of Required Data for Closure of <br /> Underground Tank Saes presented in Appendix B of the Tn-Regional Recommendations <br /> (appendix A) <br /> In general, the following Information Is documented in this report to assist in meeting these <br /> objectives <br /> ' ■ historic background Information for baseline site condition determination <br /> ■ effectiveness of the treatment technologies implemented and operated at the site <br /> t ■ illustration of anticipated incremental mass recovery of continued operation of the <br /> treatment systems <br /> ■ ns <br /> ' current site candido <br /> ■ fate and transport of impacted groundwater <br /> ■ asks associated with remaining hydrocarbon sources <br /> 11 Background <br /> 1 The Manteca Bean facility is located at 229 Moffat Boulevard In Manteca, California, and was <br /> formerly operated by Golden Grain The site is located in a mixed-use commerclallllght Industrial <br /> ' area with nearby residential housing Figure 2 is a site vicinity map which shows the site and <br /> 420202+S.cR <br /> FLUOR DANIEL GTI <br />
