' 10 February 2005 AGE-NC Project No 98-0521 Page 4 of 6 3 1 GROUND WATER ELEVATION, FLOW DIRECTION AND GRADIENT On 22 September 2004,the depth to ground water at the site ranged from 7 20 to 9 40 feet below the tops of the well casings The ground water elevations at the site ranged from 7 29 feet (MW-5) to 9 02 feet(MW-3)below mean sea level(MSL) The ground water was interpreted to flow southwest at an approximate gradient of 0 005 foot/foot(ft/ft),well MW-5 was not utilized to determine ground water gradient and flow because it is a deep-screened well, so its ground water elevations are not 'representative of shallow water conditions Depths to water and ground water elevations are summarized in Table 1 Figure 4 illustrates the interpreted ground water elevations 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES The analytical results of the September 2004 quarterly monitoring event are as follows • TPH-g was detected in the sample collected from monitoring well MW-4 at a concentration of 2,500 µg/l • BTEX constituents were detected in the sample collected from monitoring well MW-4 at concentrations of 1,900 µg/1 benzene, 20 µg/1 toluene, 60 4g/1 ethylbenzene and 158 µg/1 total xylenes ' a MTBE was detected in MW-4 at a concentration of 920 µg/l TAME was detected in the sample collected from MW-4 at a concentration of 25 lig/1 ' r les collected during the September 2004 No other analytes were detected m the ground Ovate samples g p ' quarterly monitoring event Analytical results from the ground water samples are summarized in Tables 2 and 3 The laboratory report(CTEL Project No CT214-0409144),quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports and chain of custody forms are included in Appendix D Documents ' confirming the upload of laboratory electronic deliverable format (EDF) files and depth to water measurements to GeoTracker are included in Appendix E The lateral extent of dissolved contaminants is depicted on Figure 5 3 3 GROUND WATER TREATMENT RESULTS ' The pump-and-treat system was operational between 04 August and 27 September 2004 Total flow (totalizer) was measured utilizing the Blue-White Industries F-2000 flow meter From full system start in August to the September sampling of the remediation system,the flow meter recorded a total volume of 66,760 gallons or 253,020 liters of discharged water(see field sheets in Appendix B) i Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
