A soil and groundwater investigation was completed in early
1990, and wereceived your 13 March 1990 Phase II Site Characterization—PAR, prepared by Thorne
Environmental. The results of the Problem Assessment Report(PAR) show low levels of trichloroethene
and 1,2-dichloroethene in groundwater monitoring wells at a depth of approximately 16 feet. Since the PAR,
we have not received any monitoring reports or additional correspondence regarding this site.
Because this site was never officially closed, we are requesting submittal of a status report to update
activities completed at your site to date. By 28 May 2001, submit a status report to this office, which must
include current site use, additional investigation activities completed, and a complete list of current owners
for the property. Section 25299.37.2(a) of Chapter 6.75 of the California Health and Safety requires that all
current record owners listed on the deed title be notified of any corrective action or site closure proposals
prior to the Regional Board considering the proposal. Furthermore, the responsible party(ies)must certify in
writing to the county and the Regional Board that the notification requirement has been met and must submit
a complete mailing list of all current record owners of deed title.
Failure to comply with this request may subject you to formal enforcement actions including monetary civil
liability.
