(Norcal), AECOM Environment(AECOM), formerly ENSR
Corporation (ENSR), is submitting this work plan addendum for soil, groundwater, and soil vapor
assessment in support of site closure at the former Stockton Scavenger Association Site located at 1240
Navy Drive, Stockton, California (Figure 1). The locations of former and current site features are
illustrated on Figure 2. The original work plan was submitted on December 18, 2008.
The scope of work revisions are based on the unavailability of historic soils assessment data. This lack of
soils assessment data was discovered during reviews of San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department(SJCEHD) and Central Valley Water Board historic files. In a phone conversation between
Mark Capps of AECOM and Harlin Knoll of SJCEHD on February 3,2009, Mr. Knoll requested soil
samples be collected and analyzed to provide current soils data. Mr. Knoll also requested that vapor _
sampling boring V-1 be re-located to an area nearer occupied buildings.
Changes to Proposed Scope of Work
Soil Characterization
In response to the unavailability of historic soils data and to provide current soils data, AECOM proposes to
collect soil samples from soil borings B08-1 through B08-4 at depths of:10 and 30 feet below ground surface.
Soil samples will be analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline(TPHg); benzene, toluene, i
ethylbenzene, and total xylenes(BTEX); and 1,2 dichloroethane(1,2-DCA) by US.Environmental Protection
Agency(EPA).Method 82606, and for total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel(TPHd) by US EPA Method
8015B.
Groundwater Laboratory Analysis
AECOM will submit the eight groundwater samples for laboratory analysis to CLS, a California state-
certified laboratory, under chain-of-custody protocols. The groundwater samples will be analyzed for TPHg,
E
BTEX and 1,2-DCA by US Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) Method 82608. The samples will also
__ i
