Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan SITE DESCRIPTION Site Access Access to the proposed sampling locations is through two entrance gates opening on to Navy Drive. Facing south one gate is to the left of the maintenance building and one is to=the right of the office. Parking/Assembly Area(s) The upper parking lot is accessed through the west gate of the subject site. Water Availability Water for consumption and work use is available on site. Illumination - Project activities will be performed during normal daylight hours. Sanitation - Facilities for sanitation are available on site. _. _ Electrical/Gas Availability Electrical and/or gas supply will not be required. Topography --- The site is roughly 4.5 acres and contains offices, a transfer station, and maintenance and storage areas. Driveways and storage areas.are covered with-asphalt. The site is essentially flat. . Population Centers - - The site is located within the Stockton City limits.. . r - - I - _ I Work Hours/Days The length of the workday will be dependent on visibility. Anticipated work hours from`8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Noise Abatement Requirements Drilling equipment generates high noise levels. Personal hearing protection will be required for persons in the vicinity of the drill rig during operation.: Noise levels outside the exclusion zone should not present'a (- hazard. -- i Security Requirements Appropriate Stockton Scavenger Association authorities will be given advance notice of the startup time and overall work duration for work activities. The project-site itself will be secured by the delineation of an exclusion zone, support zone, and decontamination zone: r— Prevailing Wind Direction s LWind conditions in this area are variable. Expected Climatic Conditions _ Mild to cool fall weather conditions are expected. Additional Information _ The interchange of highways 5 and 4 is approximately 1/4 mile to the east of the site.
