Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Summary <br /> The purpose of this work is to perform preliminary assessment of the extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in <br /> the soil and groundwater. Executing this assessment involves the drilling of five exploratory borings to a <br /> total of 30 feet. Soil samples will be collected from each borehole at depths of 14-and 25 feet. In addition, <br /> groundwater samples will be collected at each borehole with the use of a hydropunch. Upon completion <br /> of the sampling the five boreholes will be sealed. <br /> { <br /> I <br />- I <br /> - - - <br /> Equipment Decontamination Requirements <br /> All drilling and soil sampling equipment shall be decontaminated prior tobeing,brought onto the job site. <br /> To avoid cross-contamination between borings, steam cleaning of drill augers, bits and other drilling <br /> equipment will be performed on site. Soil samplers will be decontaminated between each use with a- <br /> Liquinox soap wash. Additional MARK decontamination methods and procedures are in The MARK Group <br /> r+ Master Health and Safety Plan, Section 9.0. -- <br /> L <br /> Permit Requirements - <br /> A shallow exploratory boring permit is required from the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, <br /> Environmental Health Division. <br /> I <br /> Waste Disposal Requirements - <br /> Cuttings generated from drilling will be placed on the existing stockpiles of excavated soils. <br /> - Page 3 <br />
