GROUND WATER SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS
Following the installation of the wells, ground water monitoring and sampling activities will be
conducted on a quarterly basis until directed to modify or discontinue the monitoring program by the
SJCEHD or CVRWQCB. Monitoring activities will include recording depth to ground water
measurements and collection of ground water samples for laboratory analysis by a DHS-certified
laboratory for the following analytes:
• Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) and diesel (TPH-d) in
accordance with EPA Methods 3550/8015 Modified; and
• Benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and total xylene (BTEX) and di-isopropyl ether (DIPE),
ethyl tertiary-butyl ether(ETBE),methyl tertiary-butyl ether(MTBE),tertiary-amyl methyl
ether (TAME), tertiary butanol (TBA), methanol, ethanol, ethylene dibromide (EDB) and
1,2-dichloroethane(1,2-DCA) in accordance with EPA Method 8260.
YVI
9lrovndc+iat' J MOM
Laboratory reports of.469 analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control
(QA/QC)reports,and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report Ground
water sample collection protocols are described in Section 4.4.
3.5. PREPARATION OF REPORT OF FINDINGS
Following each ground water monitoring event, a quarterly report will be prepared presenting the
findings. Each report will include a description of work performed and the results of the groundwater
sampling and analysis. Laboratory reports for ground water analyses, testing methods, laboratory
quality assurance/quality control(QA/QC)reports,and sample chain of custody documentation will
be presented in the quarterly report. Conclusions and recommendations will also be included, if
applicable. The report will be in a format acceptable to the SJCEHD and CVRWQCB, and will be
reviewed and signed by a California Registered Geologist.
4.0.
