O1 March 2004
AGE-NC Project No. 02-0886
Page 3 of 8
grab ground water samples were collected from each boring. -
TPH asoline was reported in soil samples at concentrations ranging from non-detect (ND) to
1,800 partser million(ppm);TPH as diesel was reported in soil samples at concentrations ranging
from ND to 58 m. 13TY constituents were reported in soil samples at concentrations ranging
from ND to 170, mxA tgkgh reported in one sample using EPA Method 8021,no MTBE or other
fuel oxygenates were po"t"reported in any of the samples selected for analysis using EPA Method
8260.
TPH as gasoline, BTEX and MTBE were reported in each of theAth`ree grab ground water
collected from the borings at concentrations ranging from 2.3 partsper billion(ppb)to 180Appb X10
TPH as diesel was reported in any of the grab ground water samples.
The laboratory report and chains-of-custody are included as Appendix A. A report of the
investigation is presently being prepared by AGE and will be submitted to the SJCEHD upon
approval of the Client.
3.0. SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of the work initially includes the advancement of one soil boring for completion as a
ground water monitoring well. Based upon results of ground water samples collected from the
monitoring well,two additional pilot borings may be advanced for the installation of two additional
monitoring wells. Upon installation, the wells will be developed and sampled and, if necessary,
placed into a quarterly ground water monitoring program. The scope of work will consist of the
following tasks:
• Permitting and pre-field work activities;
• Drilling and soil sample collection;
• Monitoring well installation and development;
• Ground water sampling and analysis; and
• Report preparation.
3.1. PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the EHD. In addition, an update to the
health and safety plan presently on-file will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety and
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
