During
a visual survey of the Property, CERES observed floor staining beneath waste perchloroethylene
(PCE) storage drums and beneath a waste PCE extraction vessel at the rear of the dry-cleaning
machine in the space occupied by Clean Xpress. Since PCE, a chlorinated solvent, is known to be
mobile in porous media such as concrete, Phase II soil sampling was recommended.
SCOPE OF WORK
CERES conducted the following scope of work to assess subsurface soil conditions beneath the
Property.
• Collect one soil sample from two hand auger boring locations inside the property building,
and one hand auger boring location outside the rear door of the Property building.
• Submit three soil samples for laboratory analysis using United States Environmental
5040 Commercial Circle,Suite F• Concord,California •94520•Office(510)825,4466 • Fax 825-4441
Additional Locations:Santa Fe Springs,CA(Los Angeles Area)•San Diego,CA
