Other Class II and III landfills including those outside <br /> the county should be contacted. <br /> ISSUE NO.2. <br /> Concern had been expressed about the passibility of asbestos <br /> exposure during the remediation or building demolition. <br /> WCC RESPONSE: <br /> Lika Corporation has stated that they have no reason to believe <br /> that there is asbestos at this job site. in addition, Woodward- <br /> Clyde has conducted its own preliminary investigation and has found <br /> no asbestos. Should the contractor find asbestos on the site, all <br /> work shall be halted while the material is removed. <br /> ISSUE NO.3. <br /> How many sanitary sewer connections are there? Where is the <br /> connection to the sanitary sewer located. No drawing has been <br /> issued showing this detail. <br /> WCC RESPONSE: <br /> All drawings currently available to us indicate that there is only <br /> one sanitary sewer connection, located below grade at or near the <br /> manhole outside the main gate to the property. <br /> : <br /> ISSUE NO.4 . <br /> Is contaminated soil under the footings to be excavated undermining <br /> the load bearing outer wall? <br /> WCC RESPONSE: <br /> Contaminated soil under the footings is not to be excavated. For <br /> the- structure in place alternative, all excavation below the <br /> elevation of the footing shall include shoring to assure the <br /> integrity of the outer wall. <br /> ' ISSUE NO.5. <br /> ! Several wells (4) are located in and around the concrete etching <br /> room sump. will WCC provide closure specifications? <br /> WCC RESPONSE: <br /> Wells are usually closed with a cement/bentonite grout, however San <br /> Joaquin County may have special requirements. Contractors may wish <br /> to contact the San Joaquin Local Health District for county <br /> specific regulations at (209) 469-3827 . <br />
