k" KLEINFELDER
2. TPH-Gasoline and trace concentrations of UEHs were detected in the groundwater
sample obtained from EB-1/TW-1 (east side of tracks). Neither were detected in the
groundwater sample obtained from EB-2/TW-2. It is Kleinfelder's understanding that
dewatering will not occur during construction or installation of the drilled piers.
However, minor volumes of water may be displaced during the pouring of concrete for
the drilled piers. Kleinfelder recommends that as a precautionary measure, all water
displaced during the concrete pour be contained on site, and be allowed to percolate back
to the subsurface. If drilling muds are used during the drilling for the piers, the excess
water would likely be incorporated into the mud through the drilling process and would
be disposed of along with the mud.
This recommendation must be approved by PHS/EHD prior to implementation.
3. Kleinfelder gives no legal advice related to the proposed project and the existence of the
low levels of contamination present, either expressed or implied.
4. This report should be submitted by the City of Stockton to PHS/EHD and the
CVRWQCB for review and comment.
This report and the conclusions and recommendations presented, are subject to the "Limitations"
presented in Chapter 8 of this report.
20-3712-08.E01/2018R510 Page 14 of 16
© 1998, Kleinfelder, Inc.
