The volume of
grout placed of 9 cubic yards exc ed the estimated quantity by approximately
5.6 times. This volume sealed the borehole to 55 feet and would have accounted for
voids in the annular space, thus staling the formation wall. The first-encountered
water-bearing zone is the source of groundwater impact to deeper zones, and the
grouting procedure removed the well gore as a man-made conduit for vertical migration.
The information presented address the issues regarding the well abandonment
procedures. If you have any questions, please call.
Sincerely,
EMCON ` 1001
Mark Capps,R.G. #6561 Charles S.
