I am sorry that I can't give you a time schedule for
bringing the extraction system on-line. This is due to
the historical problems we have had getting disposal
permits. In the last three years Shell has been turned
down by the City of Stockton WWTP twice and we have been
pursuing an NPDES permit with the regional board for
almost two years.
2 See attached letter, dated May 28, 1993 , from Harding
Lawson Associates which addresses your concern over
delineation of the plume near hydropunch samples 26, 28,
and 31.
3 . Your letter requested a time schedule for submittal of
reports. Our intent is to submit one final report which
will detail the complete results of the off-site
investigation, including all hydropunch work and new
well installations. See attached letter from Harding
Lawson Associates.
The U. S. Navy has indicated to me that alterations to
the existing right of entry agreement can be completed
by the end of June. Therefore, based on the information
discussed in Harding Lawson Associates letter, the final
report will be submitted by October 1, 1993 . Meeting
this date is of course contingent upon receiving access
from the U. S. Navy by the end of June.
If you have any questions or comments please contact me at
(714) 520-3389.
Very Truly Yours,
 4"
A - L
C. B. Kolesar, Assoc.
