2.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br /> • Twenty two soil borings(SB-1 through SB-22)were drilled and converted to air <br /> sparge wells to facilitate installation of an air sparge and soil vapor extraction <br /> (AS/SVE) system. <br /> • Up to 3,600 milligrams per kilogram(mg/kg) total petroleum hydrocarbons as <br /> gasoline (TPHg),4,400 mg/kg total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel(TPHd), <br /> 4.0 mg/kg benzene,8.9 mg/kg methyl tertiary butyl ether(MTBE), and 3.2 mg/kg <br /> tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA)were detected in soil samples collected from the borings. <br /> • No groundwater samples were collected. <br /> • Current site conditions suggest active remediation may no longer be warranted. <br /> Therefore,CRA previously proposed submitting a Corrective Action Plan(CAP) to <br /> evaluate current soil and groundwater conditions and re-evaluate remedial <br /> alternatives. <br /> 3.0 INVESTIGATION RESULTS <br /> 3.1 PERMITS <br /> CRA obtained a permit from the San Joaquin.County Environmental Health Department <br /> (Appendix B). <br /> 3.2 DRILLING DATES <br /> March 23,29,30 and 31,2011 and April 6,7,and 8,2011. <br /> 3.3 DRILLING COMPANY <br /> Gregg Drilling&Testing,Inc.
