3.5 DRILLING METHOD <br /> Hollow stem auger. <br /> 3.6 NUMBER OF BORINGS <br /> Gregg drilled twenty two soil borings and converted the borings to air sparge wells AS-1 <br /> through AS-22. <br /> The boring specifications and soil types encountered are described on the boring logs in <br /> Appendix C. The boring locations are shown on Figure 2. <br /> 3.7 BORING DEPTHS <br /> Borings AS-1 to AS-22 were drilled to a depth of 21 feet below grade (fbg). <br /> 3,8 GROUNDWATER DEPTHS <br /> Groundwater was first encountered at depths ranging from approximately 8 to 15 fbg in <br /> the borings. <br /> 3.9 WASTE DISPOSAL <br /> Sixteen yards of soil and eight drums of sludge were generated during drilling and <br /> temporarily stored onsite, sampled, and profiled for disposal. The soil was transported <br /> to Forward Landfill in Manteca, California for disposal on May 11, 2011 and the sludge <br /> was transported to the Crosby & Overton, Inc. facility in Long Beach, California for <br /> disposal on May 26,2011.
