EXHIBIT I SCOPE OF WORK The work will be completed consistent with the Predesign Investigation Work Plan dated June 12, 2012 and approved by the RWQCB on August 23, 2012. To meet the stated objectives of this Work Plan,the following scope of work will be implemented. PRE-FIELD ACTIVITIES Pre-field activities will include the preparation of a Health and Safety Plan (HASP), procurement of permits, underground utility survey, pre-field meeting, and subcontractor mobilization. Review of Current Field Conditions Field conditions will be reviewed by staff before commencing field activities. The assessment will include the following items: • Evaluating existing and previously existing utilities in relation to the proposed sampling locations; • Ensuring safe access and movement within the work area; • Securing work areas with barricades or temporary fencing,if applicable; • Determining operational and traffic safety requirements;and • Assessing health and safety conditions. After a review of the field conditions has been completed, a HASP shall be prepared to supplement this Work Plan and the SAP. Utility Survey Prior to commencement of field activities, Underground Services Alert (USA) will be notified of the intent to conduct subsurface investigation at least 48 hours prior to initiation of intrusive field tasks. USA will contact all utility owners of record within the site vicinity and notify them of the intention to conduct subsurface investigations in proximity to buried utilities. All utility owners of record,or their designated agents, will be expected to clearly mark the position of their utilities on the ground surface for utilities that are located in public areas.
