(LFR; formerly Levine-Fricke and Recon Environmental) has prepared this Public <br /> and Private Well Survey report for Lincoln Center, located in Stockton, California <br /> (Figure 1). The work described in this report was conducted in accordance with <br /> Section 3.3.5 of the "Work Plan For Environmental Investigation, Lincoln Center, <br /> s Stockton, California," dated September 23, 1996 ("the RI/FS Work Plan"). <br /> According to the RI/FS Work Plan, "the Site" is defined as "Lincoln Center, located <br /> in an unincorporated area of San Joaquin County near the City of Stockton, California, <br /> and the surrounding area where Hazardous Substances, including perchloroethylene <br /> (PCE), trichloroethylene (TCE), and 1,2-dichloroethylene (DCE), have been released, <br /> have come to be located, or threaten to be released from the SDCDs' facilities at <br /> Lincoln Center." To date, Hazardous Substances, excluding vinyl chloride, have been <br /> t detected in soil and groundwater samples collected at Lincoln Center and immediately <br /> north of Lincoln Center. For the purpose of this report, "the Study Area" is defined as <br /> the area encompassed by a circle with a 1-mile radius measured midway between <br /> Gettysburg Place and Pacific Avenue on Benjamin Holt Drive. <br /> 2.0 PUBLIC AND PRIVATE WELL SURVEY TASKS <br /> The scope of work and Data Quality Objectives (DQOs) for the public and private well <br /> survey are described in Section 3.3.5 of the RI/FS Work Plan. As described in the <br /> scope of work, the objective of the well survey is to identify public and private wells <br /> E that could possibly be affected by groundwater containing Hazardous Substances. This <br /> report focuses on data compiled for wells located downgradient from the Site, where <br /> Hazardous Substances may potentially migrate, and for wells located immediately <br /> 1 upgradient from the Site. <br /> A <br /> The public and private well survey consisted of the following tasks: <br /> ( conducting an inventory of public and private wells located within a 1-mile radius <br /> of Lincoln Center <br /> • compiling well construction data for these inventoried wells <br /> ' compiling elevation data and analytical results of groundwater samples collected <br /> from these wells, if available <br /> • evaluating abandonment procedures for former Lincoln Village Maintenance <br /> District (LVMD) wells LVMD #1, LVMD #2, LVMD #4, and LVMD #6 <br /> The work performed to complete the above public and private well survey tasks is <br /> described below. <br /> 4111WELL.AWAW Page 1 <br />
