LEVINE • FRICKE
ENGINEERS,HVDROGEOLOGISTS&APPLIED SCIENTISTS
May ,
Levine- is revising the
Ma 31 1996 draft RI/FS Work Plan in response to comments
•
received from the SJC PHS/EHD and LPL. (The final RI/FS Work Plan is scheduled to be
issued by September 23, 1996. A draft of the proposed revisions to the RI/FS Work Plan will
be submitted to the RWQCB and the SJC PHS/EHD for review and comment on September 3,
1996.)
Levine-Fricke began to prepare the draft Community Relations Plan (CRP), as discussed in
Appendix D of the RI/FS Work Plan. (The final CRP will be issued when the final RI/FS
Work Plan is issued.)
Levine•Fricke began to revise the list of potential applicable or relevant and appropriate
requirements (ARARs) and "to be considered" (TBC) criteria, as discussed in Section 5.3.1.2
of the RI/FS Work Plan. (The revised list of potential ARARs and TBC criteria will be issued
when the final RI/FS Work Plan is issued. As noted in Section 5.3.1.2 of the RI/FS Work
Plan, the list will continue to be reviewed and updated throughout the implementation of the
RI/FS Work Plan.)
Levine-Fricke contacted public agencies to identify specific permits, approvals, licenses, and
right-of-entry that will be required to perform the RI, per Appendix A of the RI/FS Work Plan.
Levine-Fricke began the design of the storage and operations compound (SOC). (The primary
purposes of the SOC are to provide an area at LC for decontamination of field equipment and
temporary storage of waste generated during field activities. SOC construction will begin when
the SOC design is completed, when proper permits are obtained, and when the lease agreement
between the SDCDs and LPL is finalized. The final SOC design will be provided to the
RWQCB and SJC PHS/EHD by September 6, 1996.)
The next bimonthly letter report will be issued in October 1996. Please contact me if you have any
questions or comments.
Sincerely, /
Donald T. Bradshaw, R.G.
Principal Hydrogeologist
Site Project Manager
Attachment
cc: Distribution List
3
3966-G30.BMM:Sd
