011 Levine-Fricke-Recon I' ENGINEERS,HYDROGEOLOGISTS B APPLIED SCIENTISTS June 30, 1997 al JUL P11 1* 05 4111.90-001 via U.S. mail TO: PARTIES ON THE ATTACHED DISTRIBUTION LIST Subject: Bimonthly Letter Report for April 1 through May 31, 1997, Lincoln Center, Stockton, California Dear Interested Parties: On behalf of the Settling Dry Cleaning Defendants (SDCDs), Levine-Fricke•Recon Inc. presents this letter report summarizing activities for the period from April 1 through May 31, 1997 ("the bimonthly period") at Lincoln Center, located in Stockton, California ("the Site," as defined in the First Final Consent Decree Order, Judgment and Reference To Special Master, filed with the Court on January 19, 1996). The information in this letter report is provided pursuant to Sections IV(A)(1)(f) and IV(F) of the "Permanent Injunction Governing Investigation, Monitoring, and Testing of the Hazardous Substance Contamination at and Emanating from Lincoln Center and Order of Reference to Special Master," issued by Judge Levi of the United States District Court, Eastern District of California, and filed on August 16, 1993. Ongoing Data Collection Activities The following data collection activities were conducted at the Site during the bimonthly period. • Fluid levels were measured in site monitoring wells on April 14 and May 12, 1997. Table 1 presents a summary of groundwater elevation data for these months. • Groundwater samples were collected from monitoring wells at the Site from May 13 through 16, 1997. Analytical results of these samples will be presented in the second quarter 1997 groundwater monitoring report to be submitted to all parties by August 15, 1997. • Dedicated purge pumps were installed in existing site A-zone monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-12 from April 15 through 18. • Cone penetrometer testing (CPT) and push-in polyvinyl chloride penetrometer (PIPP) sampling were conducted at plume perimeter locations near Gettysburg Place on Cameron Way, Seward Way, and McClellan Way on April 23 through 25, 1997 (Figure 1).
