Results of the CPT and PIPP borings were used to evaluate <br /> the subsurface lithology and the nature and extent of Hazardous Substances in the A-zone <br /> aquifer in the vicinity of the proposed Phase I IRA, and to assist in the design of the planned <br /> Phase I A-zone aquifer test. <br /> • Representatives from LFR and Farr Associates, on behalf of LPL, met with the Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) on January 31, 1997 to present recommendations for <br /> conducting the Phase I IRA A-zone aquifer test. <br /> Document Submittals <br /> The following documents were completed and issued during the bimonthly period: <br /> • The Existing Monitoring Well Integrity Assessment was submitted to all parties on <br /> December 20, 1996. <br /> • Fact Sheet Number 2 was issued to all parties and residents in the vicinity of Lincoln Center on <br /> January 31, 1997. Fact Sheet Number 2 described upcoming RI and IRA field activities at <br /> the Site. <br /> • A Project Status report was submitted to the RWQCB and San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services, Environmental Health Division on December 20, 1996. The report described <br /> modifications to the Phase I IRA scoping activities. <br /> • The Phase I Interim Remedial Action Field Scoping Activities Interim Report was issued to the <br /> RWQCB on January 23, 1997. The report summarized the results of the Phase I IRA scoping <br /> activities conducted to date and made recommendations for the proposed Phase I IRA A-zone <br /> aquifer test. <br /> The next bimonthly letter report will be issued in April 1997.
