(LFR) <br /> presents this letter report summarizing activities for the period of October 1 through November <br /> 30, 1997 ("the bimonthly period") at Lincoln Center, located in Stockton, California ("the Site," <br /> as defined in the "First Final Consent Decree Order, Judgment and Reference To Special <br /> Master," filed with the Court on January 19, 1996). The information in this letter report is <br /> provided pursuant to Sections IV(A)(1)(f) and IV(F) of the "Permanent Injunction Governing <br /> Investigation, Monitoring, and Testing of the Hazardous Substance Contamination at and <br /> Emanating from Lincoln Center and Order of Reference to Special Master," issued by Judge Levi <br /> of the United States District Court, Eastern District of California, and filed on August 16, 1993. <br /> Ongoing Data Collection and Field Activities <br /> The data collection activities listed below were conducted at the Site during the bimonthly period. <br /> The scope of work for these activities was previously discussed with Lincoln Properties, Ltd.; the <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region; and the Department of Toxic <br /> Substances Control, where applicable. <br /> • Fluid levels were measured in site monitoring wells on October 13, November 9, and <br /> November 11, 1997. A summary of groundwater elevation data for these months is presented <br /> on Table 1. <br /> • Groundwater samples were collected from site monitoring wells from November 10 through <br /> 14, 1997. Analytical results of these samples will be presented in the fourth quarter 1997 <br /> groundwater monitoring report to be submitted to all parties on February 16, 1998. <br /> • Dedicated pumps were installed in the remaining newly installed A-zone monitoring wells <br /> (MW-103A, MW-105A, MW-106, MW-107A, and MW-108A), and newly installed well <br /> MW-8. <br /> • Cone penetrometer testing and push-in polyvinyl chloride piezometer borings were advanced <br /> and groundwater samples collected at plume perimeter locations at Lincoln Center; at <br /> 1900 Powell Street, 12th Floor, Emeryville, California 94608-1827 • (510) 652-4500 • fax (510) 652-2246 • Offices Worldwide <br />
