(LFR) presents this letter report summarizing activities for the period of October 1 through November 30, 1997 ("the bimonthly period") at Lincoln Center, located in Stockton, California ("the Site," as defined in the "First Final Consent Decree Order, Judgment and Reference To Special Master," filed with the Court on January 19, 1996). The information in this letter report is provided pursuant to Sections IV(A)(1)(f) and IV(F) of the "Permanent Injunction Governing Investigation, Monitoring, and Testing of the Hazardous Substance Contamination at and Emanating from Lincoln Center and Order of Reference to Special Master," issued by Judge Levi of the United States District Court, Eastern District of California, and filed on August 16, 1993. Ongoing Data Collection and Field Activities The data collection activities listed below were conducted at the Site during the bimonthly period. The scope of work for these activities was previously discussed with Lincoln Properties, Ltd.; the Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region; and the Department of Toxic Substances Control, where applicable. • Fluid levels were measured in site monitoring wells on October 13, November 9, and November 11, 1997. A summary of groundwater elevation data for these months is presented on Table 1. • Groundwater samples were collected from site monitoring wells from November 10 through 14, 1997. Analytical results of these samples will be presented in the fourth quarter 1997 groundwater monitoring report to be submitted to all parties on February 16, 1998. • Dedicated pumps were installed in the remaining newly installed A-zone monitoring wells (MW-103A, MW-105A, MW-106, MW-107A, and MW-108A), and newly installed well MW-8. • Cone penetrometer testing and push-in polyvinyl chloride piezometer borings were advanced and groundwater samples collected at plume perimeter locations at Lincoln Center; at 1900 Powell Street, 12th Floor, Emeryville, California 94608-1827 • (510) 652-4500 • fax (510) 652-2246 • Offices Worldwide
