'Rvine•Fricke•Recon <br /> ENGINEERS.HYDROGEOLOGISTS&APPLIED SCIENTISTS <br /> upgradient locations on Leesburg Place, Pershing Avenue, and West Benjamin Holt Drive; <br /> and at one downgradient location on West Benjamin Holt Drive. This work was conducted <br /> from October 27 through November 26, 1997. <br /> • A surface emission isolation flux chamber ("flux chamber") investigation was performed on <br /> October 16 and 17, 1997, to assess volatile organic compounds emissions from the subsurface <br /> at Lincoln Center. Flux chamber samples were collected from inside, and from the planters <br /> located outside, the vacant former Hollywood Video store. The results of these samples will be <br /> evaluated as part of the human health risk assessment to be performed at the completion of the <br /> remedial investigation activities. <br /> Survey activities were conducted on October 8 and 9, and November 25 and 26, 1997. Survey <br /> activities included obtaining top-of-casing elevations for newly installed horizontal locations <br /> and ground surface elevations for the soil-vapor samples and CPT/PIPP borings advanced <br /> during the source and plume perimeter area investigations. <br /> Monitoring well MW-21 was decommissioned during the period from November 11 through <br /> 21, 1997. <br /> Data Collection and Field Activities for December 1997 and January 1998 <br /> The following data collection activities will be conducted at the Site during the next bimonthly <br /> period: <br /> • Fluid levels were measured in site monitoring wells in December 1997. <br /> • Shallow and deep soil-vapor samples were collected upgradient from Lincoln Center on <br /> Gettysburg Place as part of the source and plume perimeter investigations in December 1997. <br /> • No activities are planned for January 1998. <br /> Document Submittals <br /> The following documents were completed and issued during the bimonthly period: <br /> The following revisions to the "Work Plan for Environmental Investigation, Lincoln Center, <br /> Stockton, California," dated September 23, 1996, and revised October 15, 1997 ("the RI/FS <br /> Work Plan"). These revisions incorporated procedures for the flux chamber investigation. <br /> 1. Field Sampling Plan (Appendix B), Revision 3 <br /> 2. Quality Assurance Project Plan (Appendix C), Revision 4 <br /> bimonthly-dec97-04111:SRL 2 <br />
