SUR <br /> Data Collection and Field Activities Anticipated for April and May 1999 <br /> The following data collection and field activities are planned at the Site during the next bimonthly <br /> period, or have commenced or been completed since the end of the bimonthly period: <br /> • Dedicated purge equipment retrofit will be conducted on April 28, 1999. This work includes <br /> lowering dedicated purge pumps in selected groundwater monitoring wells to optimize purging <br /> during monitoring activities. <br /> • Quarterly fluid levels will be measured and groundwater samples collected during the week of <br /> May 9, 1999. <br /> • The installation of 37 soil-vapor extraction wells and 8 soil-vapor monitoring wells is <br /> scheduled to begin the week of June 7, 1999. Installation activities are anticipated to continue <br /> for six weeks. <br /> Documents Submitted or Received and Meeting During the Bimonthly Period <br /> Several documents were completed and issued during the bimonthly period and a meeting was held <br /> to discuss the Draft Phase II Detailed Plan, as follows: <br /> • "Results of Magnetometer Survey at Michael's Arts and Crafts, 6632 Pacific Avenue, <br /> Stockton, California," was submitted to the RWQCB on February 8, 1999. <br /> • Meeting with the RWQCB and LPL on February 10, 1999, to discuss the "Draft Phase II <br /> Interim Remedial Action Detailed Plan, Lincoln Center, Stockton, California." <br /> • "Phase I Interim Remedial Action Groundwater Extraction Well Upset, Lincoln Center, <br /> Stockton, California," concerning the check-valve failure on February 10, 1999, was submitted <br /> to the RWQCB on February 17, 1999. <br /> The RWQCB submitted comments to the "Draft Phase 1I Interim Remedial Action Detailed <br /> Plan, Lincoln Center, Stockton, California," submitted on January 27, 1999, in its letter of <br /> February 18, 1999. Comments were addressed, and the "Proposed Phase 11 Interim Remedial <br /> Action Detailed Plan, Lincoln Center, Stockton, California," was submitted for agency and <br /> LPL review on March 26, 1999. <br /> Air sampling data from samples taken on December 23, 1999; field logs from November 1998 <br /> through February 1999 with photoionization detector field sampling results; and print outs of <br /> air flow rates from the air stripper were submitted to the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air <br /> Pollution Control District on March 11, 1999. <br /> The "Draft Operations and Maintenance Manual, Phase I Interim Remedial Action, <br /> Groundwater Extraction and Treatment System, Lincoln Center, Stockton, California" (O&M <br /> bimomhly-Apr%-041 l i.doc:blh 3 <br />
