The EHD has issued well destruction permits <br /> based on your client's July 18, 2014, System Decommission and Well Destruction Work <br /> Plan (the "Work Plan"), which calls for all wells at the Site except three to be destroyed <br /> by"over-drilling," as described in Well Standards Section 13.17.6. The over-drilling <br /> method provides additional protection over the pressure grouting method in that it <br /> removes all well components and eliminates the potential of any well component from <br /> acting as a potential conduit in the future. This provision is necessary for certain areas of <br /> known impact to prevent a well from acting as a current or future conduit for <br /> pollutants/contaminants to travel from an area of polluted/contaminated soil or <br />
