High <br /> levels of soil and groundwater petroleum contamination exists in <br /> all six monitoring wells on site . The extent of the off-site <br /> migration has not be determined and is required. <br /> Four, single-wall , steel underground tanks exist on site along <br /> with one steel waste oil tank abandoned in place . <br /> The site investigation is under the oversight of the Local <br /> Oversight Program (LOP) of PHS-EHD and continued investigation <br /> and the required cleanup of the site must not be interfered with <br /> by new buildings or structures . <br /> 0; <br /> The following concerns must be addressed and approved by <br /> q PHS-EHD/LOP prior to recommending approval of the remodeling of <br /> the gas station; <br /> -1- Submittal of a complete time table (schedule) showing dates <br /> the continuing investigation and required site mitigation <br /> will commence and terminate is required. Due dates for the <br /> Problem Assessment Report (PAR) and any and all interim or <br /> draft remediation reports shall also be included in the <br /> schedule . <br /> -2- All existing monitoring wells (6) and vapor wells (3) on <br /> site are to be protected and accessible during and after <br /> construction. Any well that is damaged or requires <br /> destruction is to be repaired or destroyed under an approved <br /> A oi%ision or San Joaquin Counq Health Care Servke. <br />
