Phase II Site Assessment Workplan/Health and Safety Plan October 1999 <br /> for the Hammer Lane/Highway 99 Interchange Improvement Project Project No. H2O2 <br /> Start date pending receipt of permit. Project Geologist in charge of all site activities is Jim <br /> Frumm. Work will include: <br /> A. Drilling and sampling of approximately 6 soil borings <br /> 7. Plan required Health and Safety Equipment (i.e.,hard hats,long sleeved shirts,eyewear, <br /> gloves, boots, etc.) <br /> Level D protective equipment is proposed. This will include hard hats, work boots, long pants <br /> and long sleeve shirts and gloves. Use neoprene gloves when handling excavated soil. Half <br /> face respirators will be available. <br /> 8. Safety Procedures <br /> Use of Level D PPE. All breaks, eating, and drinking will be done at least 30 feet from <br /> current site work. Wash hands prior to eating. No skin contact with drilling or excavation <br /> cuttings/spoils. Use neoprene gloves when handling excavated soil. <br /> Site visitors will not be allowed within 30 feet of current excavation and/or drilling location. <br /> Site Entry/Access <br /> Access from driveways and bordering curbs on Hammer Lane and/or North Route 99 East <br /> Frontage Road. <br /> Monitoring <br /> Photo Ionization Detector; Visual; Odor <br /> Egress <br /> Same as entry/access <br /> Decontamination <br /> Excavation and sampling equipment will be steam cleaned and/or TSP washed at the excavation <br /> 7 <br /> V ESPANA GEOTECHNICAL CONSULTING <br />
