At the Texaco site, soils contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons were encountered in the former tank area.
Additionally, low levels of unidentified diesel hydrocarbons were detected in the groundwater at•this location.
At the Mobil site,no detectable hydrocarbons were encountered in the soils tested within the former tank pit area.
However, low levels of unidentified diesel hydrocarbons also were detected in the groundwater at this location.
Assuming Alternative 5 is ultimately chosen as the preferred alternative,no soil remediation appears necessary. The
groundwater contamination will need to be coordinated with the Regional Water Quality Control Board. The board may
require some level of mitigation and/or monitoring. The scope of this activity, and timing with respect to the environmental
document,will need to be coordinated.
If you need additional information or have any questions, please call me.
Sincerely,
A 7 M
MARK THOMAS&CO.
