6+ Iwo-W
27 January 2006
AGE-NC Project No. 02-0913
60
benzene and 0.220 mg/kg xylenes.
. The analytical laboratory reported no other detections of other constituents of concern in any
of the analyzed soil collected from soil borings B 1 and B2.
• Ground water was encountered at 77 feet bsg in boring B1 and 82 feet bsg in boring B2.
r
• 1,2-DCA was detected in the ground water samples collected from borings Bi and B2 at
concentrations of 100 µg/l and 20 pg/l, respectively.
r
• The domestic well did not have reported detections of any constituents of concern. No other
constituents of concern were detected at or above laboratory detection limits in the ground
water samples analyzed.
6.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based upon the results of this limited site investigation, AGE recommends
• Further site investigation to include researching potential off-site sources of 1,2-DCA in
ground water.
• If no potential off-site source of 1,2-DCA is located, then AGE recommends the installation
of one ground water monitoring well in the area of probe boring P3, the location of
hydrocarbon-impacted soil discovered during a previous site investigation.
• The domestic well is currently not used for drinking, however annual water sampling may
be prudent.
7.0. LIMITATIONS
AGE's professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised
by environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based upon
field data and analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluations of the
geologic/hydrogeologic conditions at the property for the purpose of this investigation were made
from a limited number of available data points and subsurface conditions may vary beyond these data
points. No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional interpretations,
opinions and recommendations contained in this report.
Y1
r Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
