Groundwater Flow To the east-northeast at a rate of approximately twenty feet/mile per the San
Direction: Joaquin Flood Control and Water Conservation District
Current Site Use: Two trucking operations and a pallet-related business
Past Site Use: Trucking operations, pallet operations
Local Site Conditions
* Based upon the site visit conducted February 27,2003,the subject property appears to be relatively
level. The majority of the property is either compact earth or pavement, and no vegetation is
apparent. A long, narrow pond is located along the western boundary of the northern half of the
property, and earth is mounded immediately to the east of this.
General Site Topogrgphy and Development
The USGS Lodi North 7.5 minute topographic map published in 1968 and photorevised in 1976 was
reviewed. The subject property is located at an elevation between 50 and 60 feet. Highway off-
ramps and frontage roads appear in their current locations. The Shulz&Sons office building appears
on the property, as well as the Lodi Truck Center building. Three buildings which no longer exist
are depicted in the center of the property. The property is shown to be partly vacant and partly
vineyard, while surrounding land is primarily vineyard.
The Lodi North 7.5 minute topographic map published in 1953 was reviewed as well. In this map,
L& no highway off-ramps and frontage roads are apparent. No buildings are depicted on the subject
property, and the entire area is shown to be vineyard. The property is located between 50 and 60 feet
elevation.
t.
One USGS aerial photograph of the subject property, taken in May of 1993, was reviewed through
' the TerraServer web site and is presented in the appendix to this report. In this photograph, the
• current Shulz& Sons,Lodi Truck Center, and shop buildings are apparent on the site. The pond at
the western boundary and the area which is currently the pallet yard are also apparent. A faint
darkened area to the southwest of the Shulz&Sons office building is most likely the UST excavation
pit. The location of the excavated soil is not apparent. Due to the quality of the photo, no further
site-specific details are ascertainable.
k..
La .
