Limited Site Assessment Work Plan
TREVOR PROPERTY
519 North Patton Avenue, Stockton, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
In accordance with the request of Ms. Catherine Trevor,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE)
has prepared the enclosed Limited Site Assessment Work Plan for the property located at 519 North
Patton Avenue, Stockton, California. The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1.
2.0. BACKGROUND
The site is on North Patton Avenue, north of Copperopolis Road, east of North Alpine Road in a
residential/agricultural area of Stockton,California(Figure 1).The property is currently unoccupied.
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) identified the site as a drug
laboratory where hazardous materials were possibly disposed into the septic system.A sample of the
contents of the septic tank was analyzed. The analytical results showed that hazardous materials and
or wastes were indeed present in the septic tank. SJCEHD has requested that further investigation of
the septic system be performed to evaluate if there is a threat to drinking water.
3.0. SCOPE OF WORK
AGE proposes to properly treat and dispose of septic tank contents and collect soil samples to
determine if petroleum hydrocarbon and/or volatile organic hydrocarbons-impacted soil is present
beneath the site. The preliminary site assessment will include the following tasks:
• Treatment and disposal of septic tank contents;
• Permitting and pre-field work activities;
• Soil sample collection and analysis; and
• Report preparation.
3.1. TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL OF SEPTIC TANK CONTENTS
The contents of the septic tank will be pumped and stored on site. The septic tank waste will be
treated will chlorine (Sodium Hypochlorite) sufficient to neutralize coliform (fecal) and other
bacteria/virus, after the waste has been treated it will be shipped to Clean Harbours of San Jose for
disposal as hazardous waste. Once the septic tank is emptied it will be rinsed and cleaned utilizing
a high pressure washing system and clean water. The rinseate will be pumped and hauled with
previous contents of septic tank, after treatment.
