All samples for <br /> laboratory testing should be logged on a chain of custody form and placed in iced storage <br /> at 4 degrees Celsius. <br /> The analytical testing of all soil and groundwater samples shall be conducted by a laboratory <br /> certified by the State of Califonia Department of Health Services for the required methods. All <br /> samples are to be tested for the presence of a Covered Substance as appropriate. All testing shall <br /> be conducted in accordance with the requirements of EPA SW 846 or other Califonia state <br /> guidelines as appropriate. <br /> a) Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) including Diesel Range Organics if historically <br /> present (DRO) and Gasoline Range Organics (GRO) or equivalent shall be analyzed by <br /> methodologies that comply with applicable rules of the state in which the assessment is <br /> being conducted (example: modified version of EPA method 8015), or other state <br /> requirements. 5310 (PAH) testing to be performed when samples show high DRO <br /> concentrations. <br /> b) Testing for volatile hydrocarbons (including halogenated volatiles), benzene, toluene, <br /> ethyl benzene, xylene (BTEX), and MTBE shall be by EPA method 8260, or other state <br /> requirements. <br /> After the drilling and/or probe pushing and sampling are complete, the borings and/or probe <br /> pushes are to be backfilled with a neat cement and bentonite grout, and the surface repaired to <br /> match the surrounding conditions. All drilling equipment shall be decontaminated by steam <br /> cleaning and pressure washing prior to leaving the site. <br /> Terra Vac is scheduling this work for the week of April 12.
