In June of 1986, two gasoline tanks
(10, 000 gallon unleaded and 10, 000 gallon regular) and one w' ste
oil underground storage tank were removed. A limited subsur ace
investigation was conducted and a report was prepared dated June
20, 1988. The laboratory report dated June 23, 1988, indicates the
presence of total petroleum hydrocarbons (38 parts per million) and
lead (36 parts per million) in soil boring #3 .
The boring log for soil boring #3 indicates that auger refusal was
encountered at 12 feet. Apparently the boring and soil sampling
was terminated with inconclusive results.
In order to perform a conclusive subsurface investigation, a work
plan to define the extent of contamination should be submitted by
January 2, 1991. A Problem Assessment Report shall be submitted
concurrently to PHS/EHD and CVRWQCB no later than February 15,
1991.
If you have any questions, please call Eleanor Ratliff, REHS at
(209) 468-3454 .
Jogi Khanna, M.D. , M.P.H.
Health"
i
t. ie A.
