' Corrective Action Plan <br /> Montgomery Ward Auto Service Center, Stockton, CA <br /> 10.0 APPROVALS/PERMITTING <br />' The necessary approvals and permits to construct and operate the SVES and air sparging <br /> system will be obtained from the appropriate agencies The following outlines the <br />' approvals and permits anticipated to be required to install and operate the SVES <br /> 10.1 County <br /> A copy of this CAP will be submitted to the County for review and approval Once <br /> approved, the CAP will be used as a supporting document for all other approvals/permits <br /> required to implement the remediation program <br />' 10.2 San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District <br />' A permit application will be submitted to the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution <br /> Control District (SJVUAPCD) for the equipment that will be used to treat the extracted soil <br /> vapors prior to discharge to the atmosphere All necessary information regarding the <br /> SVES will be provided to the SJVUAPCD <br /> 10.3 City of Stockton <br /> A permit application will be submitted to the City of Stockton for construction and <br /> installation of the SVES and air sparging system The City will be mainly concerned with <br /> the underground piping, electrical work, and treatment system enclosure All necessary <br /> information regarding the SVES and air sparging will be provided to the City <br /> 10.4 Utility Clearance <br /> Underground Service Alert (USA) will be contacted prior to the initiation of on-site <br /> activities associated with installing the remedial system to delineate and mark all public <br /> utilities that may impact the construction Following the USA notification and clearance, <br /> ground penetrating radar will be used to identify possible private utilities in the affected <br /> area, if Montgomery Ward does not have maps of such utilities All utilities will be <br /> clearly marked on the ground surface using paint <br />' If natural gas or electricity are to be used as supplemental fuel for the vapor treatment unit, <br /> separate meters will be installed to record the amount of energy used by the remedial <br /> system <br /> 10.5 UST Cleanup Fund <br /> The UST Cleanup Fund (Fund) has issued a Letter of Commitment for Reimbursement of <br /> aCoats incurred by Montgomery Ward at this site Pursuant to the Fund's regulations, <br /> Montgomery Ward must obtain three bids for implementation of the CAP Accordingly, <br /> upon approval of the CAP by the County and the Fund, Montgomery Ward will obtain <br />' three bids from qualified remediation contractors, select a contractor and negotiate a <br /> contract to perform the work and solicit pre-approval for the cost of work from the Fund <br /> Upon receipt of pre-appro`vai JAJ ruir', c^vSL of �x'ork, Montgomery Wnrd will execute a <br /> contract with the remediation contractor and arrange for implementation of the CAP <br /> Project No 1232 - 31 - <br /> SAO WORD I232CAP <br />
