Kennedy/Jenks Consultants
The process water treatment portion of the study will evaluate the hydraulic characteristics and
other qualities of the vineyard soils, identify potential treatment issues and mitigation measures,
compare the results of the process water characterization to the results of the treatment
evaluation, and identify and describe potential process water, salinity, and nitrate reduction,
reuse, recycling, and treatment opportunities.
6.1.4 Report of Waste Discharge
A Report of Waste Discharge is due to the CRWQCB on 1 April 2006, as specified in Item 6 of
the CAO. The Report of Waste Discharge will include a Process Water System Improvement
Plan and Final System Design, and a proposed schedule for implementation of the plan and
design, as appropriate.
The purpose of the Process Water System Improvement Plan (Plan) is to examine, compare,
- and evaluate the process water, salinity, and nitrate reduction, reuse, recycling, and treatment
opportunities. The Plan will also identify best management practices and best practicable
treatment and control measures to be implemented to prevent groundwater degradation, and
r contain the rationale for the improvement measures chosen.
The purpose of the Final System Design is to present the design for the proposed process water
system improvements that will protect groundwater beneath the site from degradation.
6.1.5 Quarterly Progress Reports
As specified in Item 7 of the CAO, The Wine Group must submit quarterly progress reports
describing the work accomplished to date.
