He has a crew 'air-knifing"
the well heads today and tomorrow in preparation for the well destructions by over
boring set for/apt with me Weds, Aug 12.
Tony wasn't sure if the problem his crew was having in the field today was with MW-7
or MW-9 like we discussed or another well. He was to call me back to verify. As of this
email, I haven't heard.
To bring Stephanie and Jim up to speed, subsurface piping/interference is very close
to MW-7 & MW-9. Eli of HFA requested NOT to o/drill these wells out as required by
the EHD Well Standards. 1 tentatively approved pressure grouting these two wells and
requested a written proposal that details the method, procedures, and materials to be
used. The EHD wants confirmation that some sort of grout cap is to be placed on top
of the casing cut off/left in the ground. I wanted some specs to the size, depth of, and
plan Chevron approved for this concern. I neglected to emphasize that I needed this
proposal BEFORE the work commenced on site (today).
Eli, as noted below in my email, I requested you provide me with a written request to
waive/modify over drill procedures listed in the approved work plan for MW-7 & 9. 1
may have neglected to impress upon you the need for me to receive and review this
written modification BEFORE the work is done. I haven't received your proposal and
the crew is already working at the site AND there appears to be problems.
PRIOR to abandoning MW-7 or MW-9, the EHD must receive, review, and approve a
written modification to the already approved work plan/methods for this site's well
destructions. As it stands now, MW-7 & 9 are only approved for over boring.
Something that must be modified due to site conditions..
