r `
Jimco Truck Plaza - 5 - 5 September 2012
1022 E. Frontage Rd. (Hwy. 99)
Ripon, San Joaquin County
Public Participation
Public participation was conducted from 10 March 2012 to 10 April 2012 with no adverse
comments received by this agency. The RP and SJCEHD are in agreement with the closure.
Summary and Recommendations
The RP has complied with all of the requirements in the Regional Board staff letters and
directives, and has adequately assessed TPH-impacted soil and groundwater and threats from
soil vapor intrusion associated with the two Site releases.
Based on the minimal residual contamination in groundwater, limited threats from residual soil or
soil vapor intrusion to human health and/or the environment, with no changes anticipated in Site
use, declining groundwater concentrations estimated to reach WQGs in a reasonable time
frame, compliance with the tasks of Regional Board staff directives and a 13267 Order, and an
adequately defined vertical and lateral extent of pollution, no further action is warranted for the
Site. Staff recommends closure of this Site for both cases (USTs and AGTs). The required
public participation comment period was conducted from 10 March 2012 to 10 April 2012 with
no adverse comments. The monitoring and remediation wells were properly destroyed on
27 July 2012. The RP and the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department concur
with case closure.
Attachment 1: Figure 1 Vicinity Map
Attachment 2: Figure 2 Site Plan
Attachment 3: Figure 3 Maximum TPHd in Soil, 0 to 20' bgs
Attachment 4: Figure 4 Maximum TPHd in Soil, 21' to 30' bgs
Attachment 5: Figure 5 Maximum TPHg in Soil, 0 to 20' bgs
Attachment 6: Figure 6 Maximum TPHg in Soil, 21' to 30' bgs
Attachment 7: Figure 7 Maximum MTBE in Soil, 0 to 20' bgs
Attachment 8: Figure 8 Geologic Cross Section A-A' with isocencentrations in soil
Attachment 9: Figure 9 Groundwater Elevation Contour Map, August 2011
Attachment 10: Figure 10 Hydrocarbon Concentration Map, August 2011
Attachment 11: Figure 11 Dissolved Phase TPHd Isoconcentration Map, August 2011
Attachment 12: Figure 12 Dissolved Phase TPHg Isoconcentration Map, August 2011
Attachment 13: Figure 13 Dissolved Phase MTBE Isoconcentration Map, August 2011
