BORING ADVANCEMENT,SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS <br /> Initially,AGE proposes to`advance two soil probe borings in the vicinity of the former USTs to be <br /> advanced to approximately 45 feet below surface grade (bsg). Proposed probe boring locations are <br /> illustrated_in Figure 2. Soil samples will be collected from each boring at five-foot intervals, from <br /> 20 feet bsg to the total depth of the boring. Grab ground water samples will be collected at 35 and <br /> 45 feet bsg. The soil boring may be advanced to greater depths if.field observations indicate <br /> contamination. <br /> Field procedures for advancement of borings, collection and analysis of soil samples are presented <br /> in Sections 3.1. <br /> Selected soil samples will be analyzed by a State,of California Department of Health. Services <br /> (DHS)-certified laboratory for: <br /> • Total petroleum as diesel (TPH-d) ,total petroleum is gasoline'(TPH-g) in accordance with <br /> EPA Method 8015 Modified; <br /> • Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX) and methyl tertiary-butyl ether <br /> (MTBE) in accordance with EPA Method 8020; <br /> • Oxygenated compounds: di-isopropyl ether(DIPE),ethyl tertiary-butyl ether(ETBE),methyl <br /> tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE),.tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), tertiary butanol (TBA), <br /> methanol, ethanol, ethylene dibromide (EDB) and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) in <br /> accordance with EPA Method 8260 Modified: <br /> Laboratory reports for soil analyses, testing methods, laboratory.quality assurance/quality control <br /> (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain-of-custody documentation will be presented in a report with <br /> findings and recommendations: <br /> 2.3. MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION AND SAMPLING <br /> Two additional ground water monitoring wells will be installed at the site.
