All bystanders/onlookers will be cleared 100 feet upwind from <br /> scene and barricade tape will be placed completely <br /> surrounding the entire scene at least 100 feet or further if <br /> required. No one outside of emergency personnel will be <br /> allowed to enter the barricaded area. <br /> e. The spill or leak will be identified and appropriate action <br /> taken by emergency personnel and spill team. <br /> f. All emergency personnel working near or with the spilled <br /> hazardous material will wear appropriate personal protective <br /> equipment. <br /> g. The spill must be diked or absorbed of all free liquid. <br /> h. Salvage any equipment as appropriate. <br /> i. Decontaminate area. <br /> J . Emergency personnel working directly or nearby with the <br /> hazardous material must shower after the incident is secured. <br /> k. For spills of less than one gallon, the following action will <br /> be taken; <br /> (1) Shut off the source of spill remotely if possible or <br /> locally with property protective equipment. <br /> (2) For spi�ls outside or spills in a well ventilated area; <br /> wee: proper protective equipment, i.e. , face respirator <br /> and gloves,coveralls and boots, before attempting to <br /> cleanup a spill; use non-sparking tools. <br /> (3) For spills in an unventilated area, SCbA, gloves , <br /> coveralls and boots, are required before attempting to <br /> cleanup a spill.
