ANNEX A <br /> (CONTINUED) <br /> 5. For spills of more than one gallon the following action will be taken: <br /> a. Shut off source of spill remotely if possible or locally with proper <br /> protective equipment. <br /> b. Emergency Personnel will start the emergency procedure wearing <br /> proper personal protective equipment. <br /> c. Dike and absorb the spill , absorb all free liquid. <br /> d. If skin or eye contact with chemicals occurs, take appropriate <br /> first air measures. Personal health takes priority over continued <br /> spill cleanup. <br /> e. Decontaminate, clean, and repair all personal protective equipment <br /> and emergency equipment. Do not resume operations until all such <br /> equipment is operational . <br /> f. All emergency personnel must shower prior to normal duties. <br /> 6. All spills/releases of hazardous substances that exceed the Reportable <br /> Quantities (RQ) listed in 40 CFR 302, must be reported within 24 hours of the <br /> incident.
