• (1) Sandblast Sand - Sandblast sand is collected in recovery drums
at the point of generation. When four drums are collected, they are
delivered to Building 530. A composite sample is collected and forwarded to
a state-approved contract laboratory for analysis. The analysis is for total
chrome, lead, copper, zinc, and cadmium using the 7000 series for metals to
confirm process conditions have not been altered. Results of the analysis
are placed on the drum label's and retained in files. Once the quantity of
contaminated sand drums reaches fifty, the sand is disposed of through a
Depot contract. Approximately 15 drums of sand are generated per month.
(2) Waste oil - Waste oil is collected and stored at the SHAD
complex.
