Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and have the potential to cause foodborne illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br /> the food facility. <br /> #6 Handwashing Facilities Supplied and Accessible Major <br /> OBSERVATIONS: Faucet for hand sink was twisted. Sink was dry. Proper hand wash shall take place before and during <br /> food prep. A dry sink is telling me that cooks did not wash their hands before cooking was performed. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Handwashing soap and towels or drying device shall be provided in dispensers dispensers shall be <br /> maintained in good repair. (113953.2) Adequate facilities shall be provided for hand washing, food preparation and the washing of <br /> utensils and equipment. (113953, 113953.1, 114067(f)) <br /> #13 Food Contamination and Adulteration Major <br /> OBSERVATIONS: Ice chest with ice used for horchata is dirty. Chest shall be kept clean and sanitized. Do not put bottles in <br /> the ice. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Any food is adulterated if it bears or contains any poisonous or deleterious substance that may render it <br /> impure or injurious to health. No food containing artificial trans-fat, including oil, shortening, or margarine containing trans-fat may be <br /> stored, distributed, or served by, or used in the preparation of any food within a food facility (113967, 113976, 113980, 113988, 113990, <br /> 114035, 114254(c), 114254.3, 114377) <br /> #21 Hot and Cold Potable Water Not Available Major <br /> OBSERVATIONS: Hot water is 85 F. It is not hot enough. It shall be 120 F or higher at all times. Correct immediately to <br /> prevent closure.
