Acampo Plant Site - <br /> 19255 N Highway 99, Acampo, CA <br /> 1 <br /> Please find below and attached, Monitoring Well Analysis Report for the subject site, <br /> ' covenng sampling event of September 23, 2003 <br /> Background <br /> MThe site is on approximately 2 13 AC of relatively flat, covered by aggregate road <br /> base, improved land hosting a liquid asphalt and lignin based road oil storage and <br /> ' mixing facility The site's industrial history has been chronicled back to 1955 <br /> Currently there are 16 above ground storage tanks containing petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon, water or lignin based products The site is active In 1985 the <br /> ' business was purchased by Mike and John Telfer and renamed Western Oil and <br /> Spreading, Inc (WOS) The site is bordered on the north by an open field <br /> (previously an apple orchard), to the east and south by open fields and to the west by <br /> ' several homes, separating it from the frontage road It is one quarter mile south of <br /> Woodbridge Road in Acampo, CA within San Joaquin County Reference <br /> ATTACHMENT 1, LOCATION MAP <br /> ' Four underground storage tanks were removed from the site In October 1987' <br /> Petroleum hydrocarbon contamination was discovered resulting in an ongoing effort to <br /> ' charactenze, remedy possible contamination and close the site <br /> D K Barber P E and Associates continued characterization efforts from October 2000 <br /> ' through April 2001 Sampling with a Geoprobe, direct push technology boring ng, <br /> installation of a 62 FT deep monitoring well (MW) and sampling of the ground water <br /> have indicated that contamination exists <br /> ' Ethylbenzene and xylene (less than 0 015 mg/kg reported in Borehole (BH) No <br /> C-3 as well as a#hylbenzene and xylene (less than 0 065 mg/kg reported in BH <br /> Ref "Report for 19256 N Hwy 99, Acampo,CA May 24,1999 Gallardo&Associates,Windsor,CA <br /> 1 <br />
