• Page 5 September 16,2002 <br /> • Findings <br /> PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PARAMETERS of SAMPLED GROUNDWATER <br /> Attached sampling data sheets by Del Tech reflect in field measurements from MW <br /> Nos 1 through 6 Laboratory Analysis Reports from Sequoia Analytical are <br /> summarized Results of ground water sampling of a grab sample from BH No 3 <br /> collected June 6, 2002 are also included Reference ATTACHMENT 3, <br /> ANALYTICAL LABORATORY FINDINGS <br /> Chromatograms of the diesel like material found in the ground water during this <br /> and previous quarterly testing are similar Copies of results are extracted from <br /> previously forwarded laboratory findings and are attached for comparison <br /> Reference ATTACHMENT 4, EXTRACTS FROM ANALYTICAL LABORATORY <br /> ' FINDINGS- DECEMBER 20, 2002, MARCH 30, 2001, JANUARY 9, 2002 & April <br /> 11,2002 <br /> ' PHYSICAL PARAMETERS <br /> Initially, ground water gradient and bearing utilizing several nearby irrigation wells <br /> was approximated Review of a 1990 well survey includes much of the area within a <br /> ' 2,000 FT radius of the WOS site I am not aware of results from petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon sampling of the Victor monitoring well MW 3A or MW1A to date In April <br /> 2002, utilizing the measured depth to shallow water (Zone "A") and position of <br /> existing Monitoring Wells associated with the ongoing Victor Fine Foods Property <br /> project (Victor) a more accurate representation of gradient and bearing <br /> parameters was developed, please reference the attached Victor Fine Foods <br /> ' Monitoring Well Field Parameter Information for the March 1, 2002 samplings, <br /> extracted from CVRWQCB records and location data furnished by the report's <br /> author Note that the WOS site is within the area represented by these wells I <br /> ' believe they are representative of the immediate area's groundwater surface <br /> gradient of 0 002 FT/FT declining at a bearing of N 2 deg E Reference <br /> ATTACHMENT 5, GROUNDWATER GRADIENT and BEARING CALCULATION <br /> ' Within the immediate site area round water surface gradient information has <br /> , g <br /> been supplemented with depth to water findings taken from the newly installed <br /> monitoring wells with information also included in ATTACHMENT 5 This would <br /> support a surface gradient bearing of about N 3 deg W Both findings would be <br /> ' expected to vary dependent upon season <br /> TOC reference for depth to water and assumed elevations below ground surface <br /> ' (bgs ) were adjusted to a common datum used by the Victor Fine Foods study <br /> The datum was assumed valid and applied to the study by Barber for direct <br /> correlation between studied elevations <br /> 1 <br /> 2 California Regional Water Quality Control Board Order No 5-01-057 <br />
