• Page 6 September 16, 2002 <br /> The relative depth to water measurements at WOS MW No 1 indicate the surface <br /> of the ground water has vaned as follows <br /> rMonitoring Well No 1 <br /> Date WL FT <br /> ' Measured below TOC <br /> 12/21/00 4768 <br /> 3130101 4711 lowest elevation of water <br /> 1/9102 4964 highest elevation of water <br /> 4/11/02 4835 <br /> 6/19/02 4870 <br /> Reference ATTACHMENT 6, GROUNDWATER SAMPLING FORM <br /> Chemical Parameters <br /> Groundwater <br /> The first ground water sample (June 19, 2002) from MW No 4, located up-gradient of <br /> the general contaminated areas, was non detect <br /> Volatile fractions such as Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl-benzene and Xylene (BTEX) were <br /> not detected in any sampled ground water <br /> Samples from MW Nos 1 through 3 and 5 through 6 indicate petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> contamination of varying degrees The hydrocarbon fraction found in all MW locations <br /> may be classified as "diesel' Grab samples (December 2000) from the bottom of <br /> borings BH Nos C-4/C-6 and C-5/C-7 indicated a lighter extractable C10-C-28 <br /> fraction The borings were grouted close after collecting samples and could not be <br /> ' retested Chromatograms from laboratory analysis are attached Reference <br /> ATTACHMENT 4, EXTRACTS FROM ANALYTICAL LABORATORY FINDINGS- <br /> DECEMBER 20, 2002, MARCH 30, 2001, JANUARY 9, 2002 & April 11,2002 <br /> The "diesel' fraction was detected at levels between 0 058 and 16 mglltr Levels in <br /> MW No 1, the original MW installed in December 2000, have decreased from 2 31 to <br /> the June 2002 level of 16 mg/Itr There was a decrease to Non detect levels of the <br /> lighter extractable C10-C16 fraction found in MW No 1 <br /> ' Soil <br /> Soil contamination from petroleum hydrocarbons was found in several areas of <br /> varying depth and concentrations Levels of BTEX were detected in previous <br /> ' exploration in the 10 to 15 FT bgs zone along the east fence at less than 100 ug/kg <br /> and ata deeper 25 FT bgs at levels of 688 ug/kg of Xylene During earlier testing in <br /> March 1999 Galardo identified considerable BTEX in BH No B-1 in the vicinity of later <br /> ' installed MW No 1 and in BH No 2 near the east fence <br /> Diesel contaminated soil was found near MW No 4 particularly in the 25 to 30 FT bgs <br />
