• FINDINGS
PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PARAMETERS of SAMPLED GROUNDWATER
Attached sampling data sheets by Del Tech reflect in field measurements from MW
Nos 1 through 6 Laboratory Analysis Reports from Sequoia Analytical are
summarized, with the most recent results (June 26, 2004)attached Reference
ATTACHMENT 3, ANALYTICAL LABORATORY FINDINGS
PHYSICAL PARAMETERS
The WOS site is within the area represented by existing Monitoring Wells
associated with the ongoing Victor Fine Foods Property project2 (Victor) Attention
is directed reference the Victor Fine Foods Monitoring Well Field Parameter
Information for the March 1, 2002 samplings, extracted from CVRWQCB records
and attached in the previous WOS interim report by this report's author
Within the immediate site area, ground water surface gradient information has
been supplemented with depth to water findings taken from the newly installed
monitoring wells The information is included in ATTACHMENT 5,
GROUNDWATER GRADIENT and BEARING CALCULATION When measured
in late June, the gradient of the groundwater surface is about 0 002 FT/FT to the
northeast Since December 2000 to March 2004 the underlying shallow water
surface dropped about 4 5 FT and there has been a shift in direction of flow to the
East of several degrees Findings would be expected to vary dependent upon
season Significant field irrigation pumping appears to be no closer than 600 FT
f to the NE and as the surrounding shallow water is thought to be contaminated
with brine (Reference Victor Fine Foods on going study and on site MW Nos 1 -6
electro conductivity readings) there is a strong likelihood that irrigation water in the
recent years is extracted from deeper zones
Concurrently with the November 2003 Cone Penetration Testing and the
tDecember 2003 Quarterly Monitoring Well Testing the agricultural well located
about 105 FT east of MW 6 was sampled at the direction of San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Departments representative The well, of unknown
construction, did not yield any hydrocarbons As past results had been
confounded, two separate laboratories were utilized
TOC elevations referenced for depth to water and assumed elevations below
ground surface (bgs ) were adjusted to a common datum used by the Victor Fine
Foods study The datum was assumed valid and applied to the study by Barber
for direct correlation between studied elevations
1
2 California Regional Water Quality Control Board Order No 5-01-057
2
